چکیده
Impact of mobility will be increasingly important in future generation wireless services and the related challenges need to addressed. Sojourn time, time duration that a mobile user stays within cell, is mobility-aware parameter can significantly impact performance users it also exploited improve resource allocation management methods network. In this paper, we derive distribution mean sojourn multi-tier cellular networks, where spatial base stations (BSs) each tier follows an independent homogeneous Poisson point process (PPP). To obtain networks with maximum biased averaged received power association, as first step, area contact, based on which then linear contact function chord length tier. We study relation between other mobility-related metrics. show inversely proportional handoff rate, complementary cumulative (CCDF) bounded from above by complement probability. Moreover, velocity network parameters time.

Stochastic Geometry Modeling and Analysis of Multi-Tier Millimeter Wave Cellular Networks
Abstract In this paper, a new mathematical framework to the analysis of millimeter wave cellular networks is introduced. Its peculiarity lies in considering realistic path-loss and blockage models, which are derived from recently reported experimental data. The path-loss model accounts for different distributions of line-of-sight and non-line-of-sight propagation conditions and the blockage mod...
متن کاملTilt Angle Optimization in Two-Tier Cellular Networks - A Stochastic Geometry Approach
In this work, we address the antenna tilt optimization problem for a two tier cellular network consisting of macrocells and femtocells, where both tiers share the same spectrum and their positions are modelled via two independent Poisson Point Processes (PPPs). First, we derive the coverage probability for a traditional cellular network consisting only of macrocells and obtain the optimum tilt ...
متن کاملStochastic geometry modeling and analysis of cognitive heterogeneous cellular networks
In this paper, we present a cognitive radio (CR)-based statistical framework for a two-tier heterogeneous cellular network (femto-macro network) to model the outage probability at any arbitrary secondary (femto) and primary (macro) user. A system model based on stochastic geometry (utilizing the spatial Poisson point process (PPP) theory) is applied to model the random locations and network top...
متن کاملOn Cell Association in Multi-Tier Full-Duplex Cellular Networks
This paper addresses the cell association problem in multi-tier in-band full-duplex (FD) networks. Specifically, we consider the case of decoupled cell association (DCA) in which users are not necessarily served by the same base station (BS) for uplink and downlink transmissions. Instead, users can simultaneously associate to different BSs based on two independent weighted path-loss cell associ...
متن کاملMulti-Tier Cellular Network Dimensioning
Wireless communications systems enable the end users to be mobile. The majority of the wireless communications networks are cellular networks. Several methods are developed to increase the performance of the cellular networks, which depends on the correct determination of the design parameters as well as the architecture of the system and the traffic requirements. In this study, we introduce a ...
